This Privacy Policy explains how jussssarah ("I", "me", "my", or "the Site") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit jussssarah.com (the "Site") or purchase my digital products.
I take your privacy seriously and only collect what I genuinely need to run my business. If you have any questions, you can reach me at jussssarah@gmail.com.
1. Who I Am
jussssarah is a small independent business selling digital productivity templates and guides. The person responsible for your data (the "data controller") is the owner of jussssarah, reachable at jussssarah@gmail.com.
2. What Information I Collect
I collect the following types of information:
Information you give me directly
- Your name and email address when you subscribe to my email list or download a freebie.
- Your name, email address, and billing information when you purchase a product.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and usage data when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and how you interact with the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
I do not collect sensitive personal data (such as health, religion, or political views), and I never knowingly collect data from children (see Section 11).
3. The Tools I Use
I use trusted third-party platforms to run my business. Your data is processed through them:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) handles my email list. When you subscribe or download a freebie, your name and email are stored and processed by Kit so I can send you emails. Kit may also collect information about how you interact with my emails. You can read Kit's privacy practices at kit.com/privacy.
- Gumroad handles checkout and payment processing for products bought directly from me. When you buy, Gumroad collects and processes your payment details and contact information. I never see or store your full card details. You can read Gumroad's privacy practices at gumroad.com/privacy.
- Notion Marketplace handles purchases made directly through Notion's template marketplace. Those purchases are processed under Notion's own terms and privacy practices.
- Netlify hosts the Site and provides its analytics. Netlify may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the pages, such as your IP address. Netlify Web Analytics is collected server-side, which means it does not place tracking cookies in your browser. It measures general trends such as pageviews, unique visitors, top pages, top locations, and traffic sources, and it complies with the GDPR. You can read Netlify's privacy practices at netlify.com/privacy.
4. How I Use Your Information
I use your information to:
- Deliver the products you buy and provide customer support.
- Send you emails you have subscribed to (newsletters, updates, offers).
- Respond to your questions.
- Understand and improve how the Site and my products perform.
- Protect against spam, fraud, and abuse.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, I rely on the following lawful bases to process your data:
- Consent, to send you marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Contract, to deliver a product you purchased and provide support.
- Legitimate interest, to understand how the Site is used, improve it, and protect against fraud.
- Legal obligation, to keep records required for tax and accounting.
6. Email Marketing
When you join my email list, I will send you content, updates, and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by contacting me directly. Once you unsubscribe, I will stop sending marketing emails, though I may keep a record that you opted out so I do not accidentally re-add you.
7. Cookies
The Site uses only essential cookies that are needed for it to function properly and securely. Essential cookies do not track you for advertising or marketing purposes.
I do not use advertising or targeting cookies. For analytics, I use Netlify Web Analytics, which is collected server-side and does not place tracking cookies in your browser. Because of this, the Site does not require a cookie consent banner for tracking, since no non-essential tracking cookies are set.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works.
8. Who I Share Your Data With
I do not sell your personal data. Ever.
I share data only with the service providers that make my business run, and only as needed: Kit (email), Gumroad (payment and product delivery), Notion (for Marketplace purchases), and Netlify (website hosting and server-side analytics). These providers process your data on my behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
I may also disclose your information:
- In a business transfer, if my business is ever sold, merged, or transferred.
- For legal reasons, where required by law, a court order, or a valid government request.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of my providers are based outside your country (for example, in the United States). Where your data is transferred internationally, these providers use legally recognized safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.
10. How Long I Keep Your Data
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data.
- Customers: for as long as needed to provide support and meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics data: for the retention period set by the analytics tool.
11. Children's Privacy
This Site and my products are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided me with personal data, please contact me and I will delete it.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal data:
- Access, to request a copy of the data I hold about you.
- Correction, to fix inaccurate data.
- Deletion, to ask me to delete your data.
- Objection or restriction, to limit how I use your data.
- Portability, to receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, to opt out of marketing at any time.
These rights apply to visitors in the EU/EEA and UK (GDPR), California (CCPA), Canada (PIPEDA), and other regions with similar laws.
California residents: You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. I do not sell your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email me at jussssarah@gmail.com. EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
13. Do Not Track
Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no agreed standard for responding to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted that I am required to follow, I will update this policy.
14. How I Protect Your Data
I rely on reputable third-party platforms (such as Kit and Gumroad) that maintain industry-standard security. While no method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
15. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
